Becca Lane, Co-Host

Becca Lane is the Youth Education and Outreach Manager at NAMI Philly. She lives with mental health conditions such as Bipolar II disorder, ADHD, PTSD, and substance use disorder. She is an active participant in her recovery and dedicates her time using her own experience to help others. Becca is in charge of NAMI Philly’s teen mental health awareness educational program, Ending the Silence, which involves going out to local schools and youth programs to talk about her own personal recovery journey as well as educate young people about identifying warning signs and how to find help for themselves and their friends. She struggled severely with her mental illnesses during her teen years, so finds it to be incredibly rewarding to show teens that help is available and that they are not alone. Becca is also an expert on all things Game of Thrones – Team Stark all the way!

Dani Enguero is the Youth Peer Navigator at NAMI Philly. Her mental health journey has been a rollercoaster since immigrating to the U.S from the Philippines at the age of 6. As of recently, Dani has been taking her power back and healing in healthy ways. As Dani advocates for the mental health of the youth she oversees, she has learned along the way that advocating for herself and her needs are just as important. Outside of advocacy, you can find Dani loving her dog Kaecilius by going on long walks, exploring nature and getting pup cups. Dani’s favorite things to do for her mental health are attending workout classes, stretching, and breathing exercises.

She is also a friend and family member of individuals living with mental illness and will forever be the best advocate she can be. Carly is also a super proud foster and adoptive mama to 2 toddlers and a teenager and has a beautiful wife, Bethany, who is 100% her rock.

Touching on Important Topics for Young Adults

Maya Acosta- Health Lifestyle, 05/24/2022

I appreciate that there’s a safe place for young people to talk about taboo topics. So many things can affect our mental health. The team addresses drug addiction, sex and so much more. Great job!

Informative and Inspiring

buastkey, 07/16/2021

There are a lot of great mental health podcasts out there, but I think the YANA podcast is one of the best.

Carly and Becca have great on-air chemistry. They’re knowledgeable and supportive, while demonstrating openness and vulnerability with healthy boundaries.

These hosts are great at creating a safe space to talk about sensitive subject matter. They make heavy subjects palatable by balancing gravitas with an appropriate dose of lightheartedness when needed.

These ladies are inspiring role models who are actively changing lives! I would 100% recommend this podcast to anyone struggling and/or interested in learning more about mental health.
